Lightbulb Blind Spot Engineering Research Interview

Hello, we are a group of high school students enrolled in an engineering class that tasked us to find a problem and use the engineering design process to create a solution. We are currently doing research on blindspots in trucks, to determine if this a problem that truckers actually face. If any experienced truckers would like to help, please provide some feedback to the following questions in the comments:

1. What make and model of truck do you drive?

2. What size load do you typically carry?

3. What roads do you typically travel on?(highway, two-way, one-way, etc)

4. Do you typically drive during the day or night? How many hours?

5. Rank the problems affecting your limited view (1 most severe, 3 least severe):
Blind spots(left/right), Blind spots(front, back), weather conditions or other. Do not answer if you feel none are significant, however, please explain why.

6. Tell us a story about when you had a near collision and what made the situation difficult.

7. What technologies are currently available to you, on the market, to solve the problem of blind spots? What is your experience with them?

8. Please provide us with some form of contact (name, email, phone number), only if you are comfortable.

Thank you for your time, any feedback helps us greatly!
