Welcome Kallman! Sounds like things are going good over by you! I've often thought about becoming O/O.....maybe someday.
Let me say, that this is a great site and message forum! The people here keep it real, and the info is great, even for veterans. I'm new here too,and I think this is the best site for truckers. Check out all the topics...happy reading!

I'm 22, haven't driven OTR yet, but intend to within the next year or two. However, I do have a CDL and have driven buses since 2002. I've loved driving since I was a little kid - it's just a passion that I can't ignore. Can't wait to get on the big road!

Hello
Hi all, I'm a former business owner, who's looking to change careers and shake up my lifestyle. I enjoy hard work, long hours, meeting new people, and travel. Truck driving is of a real interest. I've enjoyed the things I have read on this forum thus far. I have a million questions to ask that I hope I can get some answers to.

intro
Hello everyone,
I'm 35 & married with a son. We live just outside of Greenville SC. I started investigating a career move when events at my current employer indicated a big restructuring plan was in the works. Have since found out that my position is on the chopping block and I may not be there much longer. Found this site and it has been great. It has helped me answer a lot of questions about trucking. Should my position get cut its almost certain I will go to CDL school and change careers. Thanks to you all for the great information. David

Ok... I held off for a while, but here goes. My name is Andries and I am going to school on the 3rd of Jan '05. So I hope to be out there training with a company in Feb. I have been reading, skulking and posting, on the best board I could find for trucking, for a while now and have really enjoyed it. I originally came from the republic of South Africa and spent most of my career in the airline industry, the last 18 years as a computer programmer in said industry. I am tired of offices and everything that goes with them, was always connected to trucking through family and friends in Africa and the U.S. And I like to drive a lot. I have been in the U.S. for 14 years and is also a proud citizen of this great country. I look forward to meeting some of you guys and gals in person on the road in the future.
