My name is Tom and I live in Cedar Rapids, I am not currently a driver but have wanted to since I was a child. I currently work for a phone company that will either go under or do severe cutbacks any day now. I found this site about 6 months ago and read every posting I could to get as much information that I can and just recently got my own id and started posting. I have been pre-hired by several companies and all have the understanding that I am waiting to be let go from the company before I would be able to be hired. So now its just a waiting game.

Default Hi All!

My name is Doug. I'm a young 45 and live in E. Tn. I've driven otr for most of the past 22 years. Now pulling a dry van and looking for a change. Found the site by surfing the web, which I do every now and then. I enjoy playing poker on-line when I'm not working . A HUGE drag racing fan, even tried it for awhile several years ago. So, maybe I'll read your post one day. Be good!

Hi everyone!! My name is Hilda ,
I'm not a professional truck driver yet,
but hope to be one soon. I'm a divorced
mother of a wonderful 20 year old daughter
and a 19 year old US Marine son.
I know trucking is not an easy job, specially
for people with young children at home,
in my case its different since I am on my own
and able to stay away from home as long as I need to.

Any advice on how to get started would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you and be safe outhere!

My name is Dave, I'm a new truck driver in Canada, so I hold an AZ licence. I'm just about finished training and hope to get on with Schneider. Trucking has always been a passion for me, now I'm actually doing it and proud of myself!

Default Hello all....

I am John. I am currently in the U.S. Navy serving on Andrews AFB in the so called great state of maryland, what a joke.

I have been on the boards for probably about a month now reading what all of the drivers have to say about just about anything and everything that has to do with driving a truck.

I am currently looking to start school with Roehl either in December this year or January '06, due to the time in Navy not ending until then.

I want to thank all the great people on here that has gave me some great advice on choosing a company to work for.

See all of you later.

I am Manny. I am 38 and live in SE MA, near Cape Cod. I currently work with computers but to be honest, I hate being behind a desk.

I have always wanted to be have the kind of job that the boss is not all over my case. I am looking forward to driving a truck, and I have been accepted to training with Millis Transfer at the beginning of 06. Thanks to all of you for all the feed back on this site. I really appreciate it.

See you on the open road.

Hello all. I'm Scott from Jax, FL. I was in the repo biz, working for a nation wide company and figured if I was going to be gone and all over the place I might as well jump into driving a big truck. So here I am.
