i was over the bay bridge (going eastbound to w/m) last week, but lucked out since they only had one lane closed. still it's a bad feeling knowing you have no where to go but down.
i've never had a problem in baltimore mr. ford, maybe it's my naivety showing or i've just been lucky. i wonder if that case was road rage and the weapon of choice was a gun instead of the car. |
I don't think Baltimore is much different from any other city. There's good spots and bad. I've worked in some of the bad spots and really wasn't bothered by any one. I've had some things stolen but they can be replaced.

I lived in Baltimore for a few years and grew to despise that city. Now the crime is so bad you have to be foolish to be in the wrong part of town after dark, but I suppose you could say that about any big city anymore.
Nice Signature line there RostyC  |
Baltimore used to be decent but yeah, the crime rate shot sky high. It is starting to come back down slowly.
I dunno know vega, maybe just luck. Dad used to go in there in the middle of the night doing trash and every night had something crazy go down. He eventually asked to not get sent back there. Had some crazy ho-bag jump up on the passenger side steps and want in the truck one night as he was driving down a street. Door was already locked, told her to get off, she wanted money then, he hung a left hand turn hard and tossed her off. After that he said he was done going into that city. |
I just went across the Bay Bridge yesterday afternoon, and they've got it all cleaned up now. Traffic is using both sides. But, I was going west, so I did not see the "I"beam they have in place of the missing concrete. However, I DID notice a bit more presence from law enforcement. And, it was 4-wheelers that were being stopped. They were on my side before I got to the bridge, and on the eastbound side after I crossed it.

Nice Signature line there RostyC  I've never been certified at anything so I'm going to flaunt it. You might see me at the scale on 70 inspecting flatbed boards. I'm power tripping. 8) On Topic: You guys have to remember there's no consequences for your actions in MD, it's always someone else's fault. |
at least this article gives you a little hope that the MTA police are looking into all of it.

Of course did any of us expect any of those bridge railings to contain 40 tons of truck? |
I've watched all the videos and read all the newspaper articles and even read all 15 pages of the Kent Island Online board. All I can say is, we have to wait for the toxicology reports before making a decision. I was at first angered by WBALTV's first report on the accident and was ready to fire off an email (they made it sound as tho the driver was at fault" slamming them for skewing the story to sound that way without having any answers. My prayers go out to Mr. Short's family for their loss, as for Ms. Baldwin.....her family or lawyer may have had her cancel her Myspace, but the pics are out there. She will live with this for the rest of her life.
