Default 19 Year Old; Looking for Job in PA

Up until 3 weeks ago, I was driving for a supply company. I was driving intrastate in PA. They run (3) 379 Pete's with 53' trailers. I have had my CDL Class A (double/triple & tanker endorsements, air brake restriction removed), and have been driving for almost 2 years now. Myself and 2 others were laid off due to slow business at the supply company.

Now I find myself in need of a job. However, I cant seem to find anyone who's interested in hiring a 19 year old. I did get a job offering from Swift for OTR, which I don't know why they called me since I'm 19. Anyway, does anyone have any suggestions for what to do? Or does anyone know of any jobs in the eastern PA area? I can also buy an old Pete COE for real cheap and was considering being on O/O, what do you think?

*Also, I have no points, accidents, arrests, or DUI/DWI's

At 19 you are restricted to intrastate driving. Most carriers require a driver to be at least 21-23 years old, mainly for insurance purposes. I would check with distributors and trucking companies who have terminals in the area. You might be able to do some shuttle work for the trucking companies. You could check with some of the major carriers to see if they have anything which might work for you. There is a lot of manufacturing in Pennsylvania. Check to see if there are any who have their own trucks. Many local companies will place job openings with the local state employment office. They could probably help you find something.
