Amount of time you spend in sleeper berth
I know this is a very loaded question that is different with each person or company.
I know 10 hours in the sleeper berth is federal law but I am curious, what is your average time on any given week that you spend in your sleeper? I imagine delivery times have a lot to do with it but do you find yourself most often getting only 10 hour breaks or does it fluctuate a few hours per week?

I know 11 hours in the sleeper berth is federal law
Think you need to go to the FMCSA web site and read part 395 again.

Time management is the key. Knowing where to position your truck at the end of the day will help ya keep the left door shut and know when to stop.
For instance, if I'm passing through a metropolitan area between 3-630pm I'll usually be showeriing and eating at a truckstop out of town waiting for traffci to go down. As far as the sleeper birth, the new law says, you must take 10 hrs off duty. I usually log the 8 followed by 2 off duty and I'm legit. How much time I spend in the sleeper is usually legit. I split my duty with a sleeper birth usually every day I do a 12,000+ lb load. Thats right Rev, I'm in the sleeper after inventory except for the final hour of paperwork  You can also do a 10hr consecutive off duty status.

Time in the sleeper I spend 8 hrs but i just log a full 10 hrs of ln 2 it's not like the DOT is ever going to know I got out my truck and showered and did not log line 1 . i actually think the letter of law states that when shutting down for your break you must get your 8 hrs of sleep before you do anything else like showers ,laundry, meals ...

You need to show 10 consecutive hours on line one and two(unless your using the extended sleeper berth option), these 10 hours can be shown in any combination you want as long as you don't go onto line three or four until the 10hrs has been completed.
