Any Help Is GOOD Help....
So I've always been a local driver..... home every night..... sometimes only puttin in 5-6 hours a day becasue I was a base + commmission driver. Anyways, I recently quit there and took a regional position with a company that gets weekends off. As the day get close for me to ship out for orientation I'm becoming a nervous wreck!!! I've got the wife and 3 kids, 11 month old girl (1 year next week), a 4 (5 next month) boy, and a 9 year old step-girl! So I just can't accept the fact that I'm not gonna wake up everyday to their faces...... I fear they'll loose affection and so forth for me...... I just don't know what to do!!!!!

You and your wife discussed the pros and cons of this new position -- right? You both made the decision to go for it -- right? Good!
Worst case scenario: you quit after a few weeks/months and find another so-so local trucking job. Best case scenario: you stay with the company for 1+ years. Your experience will open up some great opportunities for you--be it regional/dedicated/local if you decide to move on. No matter what, you can still talk daily to your wife and kids during the week. Better check that cell phone plan of yours and change it appropriately!
