Bad time to start a trucking career?
I know the economy is slow now, and freight is also slow. But the trucking industry seem s to pick up before any other segment of the ecomomy does, so do you'll expect it to grt worse, pick up in the near future, or what?

But, with driver turnover as horrible as it is, if you have a clean background and a good MVR, you'll never have to worry about a driving job.

I know someone is going to say different, and maybe some carriers have worked out deals to get their trucks in and out, but generally the mega carriers don't care how long you sit....they're not paying you for your sitting time....so who cares. On the other hand...if you can find one that will pay you detention automatically....who cares how long you sit? Generally speaking the "suck" factor at food warehouses is off the chart!
