Just talkin about the dude who shows up for his first day of training in some dirty sweats with holes in them and a t-shirt 2 sizes to small. No way someone like that gets in my rig.
And, what rock were you hiding under when we went through this on another thread??????

"Aren't I outta hours?" I ask the trainer. "No, you've still got a hundred miles left," he says. "But what about getting stopped at a scale?" I ask. "Look, you just tell 'em you drive by the mile," trainer says. "They'll know what you mean." All I can say is once the training's done, it's done. Preferably safely and with no trouble. Make wise choices, legal ones.

We'll see. Right about now....you should be feeling much like one of those idiots who thought he could "choke himself just alittle before he ....." but failed and found himself dangling at the end of the rope..... Your only recourse was when it began.... YOU SHOULD HAVE JUST SAID "NO!!" RIGHT THEN AND REFUSED TO BE HIS BITCH FOR $$ and then turned the "schmuck" in and gotten off his truck. That 4 others of your "compadre's" were "in love" with their trainers is immaterial...because you have no idea if they are actually telling the truth or blowing smoke at you.....and doing just what some sorry assed trainer like yours tells them to do... You were warned, but the rest of us were stupid..... Now its you who has come back here to tell us just how bad you got screwed over...... And here's a kicker.....you probably think that CRE and the owners haven't a clue about what goes on in their trucks....right???? If you do....you deserve a t-shirt with this on the front and back:

I will add that I feel badly for trainees that haven't been prepared in advance, that don't know already how to log, what their options are to object, how to do so. As far as log training goes, from what I understand, CDL training schools often brush through it, at best. Some companies teach it as part of orientation, though. Other than the way my trainer interpreted HOS and logging, he was decent enough. I learned a lot that I didn't know, got a chance to hone rusty skills, and enjoyed myself mostly. I made some choices to go along with limited showers, meals, etc--keeping up, not being a pain. I carried some food with me, and things really didn't bother me. Lots of years in the military, overseas, made things a lot easier. There are a few companies that pay trainers salaries so the incentive to 'team' is limited. Those companies also intentionally limit miles, too. Not the case for other companies.

The problem here is that he has most likely screwed himself but good by sending in two differing sets of log books.
Now, although I have razzed him quite a bit, I do not doubt the truthfulness of his story about his trainer. Unfortunately, by reacting the way he did, and by not accepting the advice and counsel of others, "That Bastard Trainer" is going to come out on top, and CRE will be within their rights in slamming his DAC report but good. Children who play with poisonous snakes tend to get bit. On second thought, CANCEL that last remark!! Since I have never PERSONALLY played with poisonous snakes, what gives me THE AUTHORITY to judge what they will do???
