I had considered one of the lighter motercycles. Would one be legal to transport behind the cab?

A lot of those spare-tire racks are measured so that the corner of the trailer will not hit them when you turn a corner, but put anything next to it and you have JUNK left. Check your clearance before you do put it there. Turn the tractor so that the corner of the trailer is in the middle of the catwalk and see what kind of room you have.

I thought the guy that hung it on the inside of the cab extender was ingenious, myself. Not a bad idea. Cleared everything, including the reefer unit.

Yeah, I saw one featured in Trucker Magazine--- the other day--something called the D-10??? or something---a fold up mountain/trail bike 10-speed---so truckers can get exercise will SETTING layover or 34hr break--- pretty nice looking--except the price tag $500.00 +.
There is a place near me that sells them for about $100. For $500 you can get one that has an electric motor.

A guy in seally,tx at a little truckstop had a motorcycle on his catwalk. it looked like a older honda 450 or something. he was pulling a flatbed and had a winch that he used to lift it. like a miny crane that fit in a hole he mounted on the frame and then took it off when not in use.
