Employment Job Descriptions The above link has the following posted. DRIVER / GUIDE: Drive 24-40 passenger vehicles on tour. Provide entertaining and informative narrative covering local natural and cultural history. An Alaska Commercial Drivers License must be obtained prior to employment. (ATA provides assistance to help pass the Alaska C.D.L. test). A clean driving record is required; random drug testing. Available in Juneau and Skagway. DRIVER / RIVER GUIDE: This is a highly independent position and a key operational part of our river float trip. Responsibilities include daily coordination with lead guides of vehicle and equipment needs to operate river float trips. Driving trucks with trailers, box trucks, and other vehicles to shuttle equipment and personnel during daily operations safely and efficiently is a key part of this position. Driver will be trained as a raft guide and will be available as part of their duties to guide when needed. Driver is responsible for assisting in loading, unloading, and secure transportation of trip equipment, as well as daily vehicle safety checks. This position requires good organizational skills, good communication skills, and a hard working can do attitude. A clean driving record and the ability to drive required. Ability it drive a manual transmission is required and experience towing trailers is helpful. A valid DOT medical card required (ATA will provide assistance in acquiring medical card).
