I use straight water with maybe 1:100 mix of zipwax. This stuff works fantastic!
I can have my windshield almost totally covered/caked. Get some of that mixture on there(let it stay for about a minute) then activate the wipers again. Probably gets 80% of it off!

Rain-X has a fairly new product out that is a 3 in 1 application,work's great just spray it on and wipe it off like reg. window cleaner and protectant last for about 2 to 3 weeks before you have to re-apply.Only cost $ 6 per 32 oz.bottle at Wally the bottle will last 4 or 5 app's but i spray it on all the windows and headlights also.

I use simple green. Spray your windshield and let er soak for a bit while your fueling. when you wash your windows the bugs come off with hardly any effort. (Simple green is concentrated so you can dilute it with water)
