Default Do it or not

hey:you all
I got my CDL last month,I have appild servel companies ,just got call from schneider national, they said :"since i have live in chicago, they want to me drive to new york and canada everytime I am on duty,
I am a newbie i havn't drive throuth all mountains yet, i really want to get good experience in U.S frist before i drive to outside US. I really want to work for schneider and do the 48states OTR, what can i do
need advice from you guys.

is that one of those sni deals where you make salary fixed amount of like $790-800 no matter how many miles ran...running you like regional or local,but paid like OTR ?

if you decide to do it you will have plenty of miles. those are the two places most people don't want to go.

Since i do not have any experice yet, they give me 2 option,one is working 2 weeks get 2days off, the other one is go out 2weeks have a week off.
they said first option i am albe to making 37-40,2 option only 30

It is really up to you, but if you truly do not feel comfortable with it then I would not do it.

If you work for Schneider, you'll go where they tell you to go. That's how that works.

I looked at many companies ,and...if...I go back OTR I will try Con-way truck load (cfi) ...Now unless sni is your only option or has some super special deal that fits you just right I would look elsewhere

I went to conway termernal in chicago, they don't even open the gate for me, I spoke someone over the phone by the gate, they need double, triple and hazmat, those are i don't have.
beside schneider, which company is good to start?

You could try Roehl. Living where you do you could get home and through the house quite often.

You could also try ABF.

Give Star Transport in Morton, Illinois a call. http://www.startransport.com You get home every weekend with them and they are an all around good company. I happen to know someone who drives for them!
