Hey its ok Chasing Daylight no problem here,
My union wages are not down in fact they are climbing, So call me stupid for having the will to do anything to support my family, as I can tell you there is not one citrus picker in this state that has brought down my wages, there is not one Mexican driver in this state that has brought down my wages. I never said everything is ok in fact it sucks and it is only going to get worse, Were you stoned when they taught reading comprehension in school? As far as being able to fix the world if I could I would be the first one in line however it is a fruitless cause as politicians are going to do what they want when they want and no two parties will ever come to agreement on any terms history proves that. (for the most part) When you save the world please let me know, I will make sure to send you a thank you card. No matter how smart you think you are or how dumb you think I am it is not going to change the world we live in plain and simple call it a negative attitude or what ever you want, the fact is it will be some time before things change... Employee/employer loyalty is a thing of the past, my father lived in that world, today it is all about cash in the pocket (what have you done for me today?) So I refuse to buy into that policy instead I focus my energy on my family nothing more nothing less. I give UPS Freight a fair days work for a fair days wages and then I come home to my family. In 20 years when I retire I wil not carry one regret as to how I should have got involved in BS political arguments, instead I will carry the memories of spending my off time with my girls, that is what life is about..... Family as they will be the ones beside me in 20 years, it wont be my state senator or the president or a mexican driver. Timberwolf

This country offers opportunity for anyone willing to work and apply themselves. Unfortunately, there are still those who use race as an excuse for failure. In reality, it is usually the lack of a good work ethic rather than discrimination or race that is holding them back. I have met several black owner operators who have been successful for many years. One in particular has been an owner operator since the 1960's. You will find drivers and owner operators from most ethnic backgrounds. If you are willing to work, there is no reason you should not be successful in this country, regardless of race or any other factor. Most of us are responsible for our own failure or success. Things happen to all of us. It is a matter of how we handle adversity or challenges along the way that determines our success.

That is what the Mexican drivers are doing as well... I do not agree with NAFTA at all, however Clinton started it and Bush has pushed it along so it is here and we must deal with it until change is brought about. Violence and hate is not the answer, as it is not the Mexican drivers fault they did not create NAFTA, American leaders did, The Mexican drivers are just doing their jobs in order to feed their families. This is not an argument about immigration or illeagal status it is simply a man doing his job because American leaders said he could. Human nature brings about the need to survive and we will do what it takes to make that happen you would too. In three years if your job or my job falls apart then you will resort to what ever means needed to survive. That is all the Mexican drivers are doing in my opinion. Truth be told it was our country that took land from Mexico just as we did the American Indian. all of the freedoms that our fore fathers wanted have in reality become a down fall in this country as there is always someone who pushes it way to far and we the people are left to deal with the consequences. Hence why I am so disenfranchised and until some one is strong enough to bring abut change I just live in my own little world and watch the insanity come about... Believe it or not I know a fuel tank driver named Muhammad, but that would piss off the guy from Boston.... IT IS What It Is..... Timberwolf nafta was signed into law by George Bush senior...

Timberwolf "NAFTA was initially pursued by politicians in the United States and Canada supportive of free trade, led by Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney, U.S. President George H. W. Bush, and the Mexican President Carlos Salinas de Gortari. The three countries signed NAFTA in December 1992, subject to ratification by the legislatures of the three countries." That being said, it was not ratified by the American Congress until Clinton was in office. But Clinton did not start it.

tropolis started evry one up good. he is vague about his ethnicity.
very diverse group on i5. our schools are teaching this pc bs about how evil america is. someone built the greatest nation ever who after ww2 rebuilt japan and europe with boatloads of money and healed their wounds the mexicans are not coming here because they like us. the problems of mexico will not be solved by the ruling class in mexico city when all the wealth and infrastructure created by the greatest generation has been exported and the us is not the strongest, the world will revert to the strong raping and pillaging the weak. |
