And don't forget Jersey City

Hell, just about the entire state while we're at it - ahhhh - such a lovely place to hand your money over for the pure joy of driving there.

In fact, I'm routed to run up through there Monday morning on the way to Lowell, MA - not gonna happen - gonna run north on 83, east on 78 and work my way north to 84 and run it across.

Adds a few miles to the route but saves a fortune in tolls, not to mention stress.

my favorite so far has been through west virginia. wow was that ever nice!! I even got to go over that river gorge in WV. I forget the name of it now. Hwy 17 through Ontario is awsome too, although A little scary at times with it being a 2 lane the whole way through...not too nice in the winter \ with all the ice and snow and bad drivers all around.

It is the called the New River Gorge on US19 Summersville, Fayetteville area (just north of Beckley) and it is indeed awesome. There are too many more to mention but my all time favourite is always that crappy little piece of road, some two lone and the last part dirt road...the last three miles to get back to the house is always the lovliest!!!

I have found a number of areas where the scenery is really beautiful. There is a stretch of road on US 64 East of Cleveland, TN that is beautiful. It is called the Ocoee River. That is where the Olympics were held a few years ago. Another place is Hwy 395 in Idaho. The roads remind me something of this stretch of highway but is much longer.
