Thanks Rev...kind of sounded wrong. By the way, we know it's time away from home only...he's OTR and just got home after 8 weeks out!

Default Thanks Everyone

Thanks for all the advice. I'm sorry I have not replied sooner so much of my time has been spent studying and staying late on the driving range (can't have too much practice).

Today I stopped in at Jackson Hewitt to ask about the details of per diem pay along with the regular cpm. The person I talked to said with my details that the situation would not leave me owing the IRS which works for me. Once I have my year in I can reevaluate both the company and the per diem issue. However, before I make an decision one more visit to a different tax pro for a second opinion. This time I will print out this thread & some of the others so I may ask more pertinent questions.
