Default FLD Opinions

Looks like I may be driving an FLD in the future. Would like to get some thoughts on this truck. All I really know about it is that its an older one with a CAT engine and 9 sp manual trans. Thanks!

I can't give you first hand experience, but I have spoken to a few who have driven and/or owned an FLD and they seem to like it better than most of the other Freightliners. They seem to think it is a better built truck than it's predecessors.

I have driven two of them and liked them both. If it has been well taken care of it is a fairly solid truck with a decent turn radius.

Have mostly heard good stuff about this truck and the FLD in general. But, the owner did say that he would let me drive it a while to get broken in on it. Plus, gives him and me time to make sure I want to drive OTR. If all works out, he will buy a newer and nicer truck. From what I hear...I favor the KW T-600.

We had one for a very short while and it was a nice truck. It was setup with a 3406E Cat @ 435HP and a 10spd.
