Never understood the whole idea of putting hundreds into a CB , antenna and linear set-up. Still the same bunch of idiots on the cheap radios as there are on the expensive set ups. I can talk to someone 50 miles away, can you do that with a Coba 19?

I personally think a cheaper radio is better. You don't need the long range. Your really only interested in the people nearest to you anyways.
You could come on the radio and say, "hey flatbed, got your ears on" and 50 flatbed drivers within a 10 mile radius will say yup.

I'm being a serious hard ass penny pinching spendthrift these days though, so I'm trying to save up enough points on my "I Hate Waiting in Line at Love's and Wish My Fuel Card Worked Somewhere Else" card to buy one, and then spend a little to get it worked over, but not really tricked out. No point buying anything too fancy. I'm working on my escape plan. If I pinch enough pennies, I think I can get to a point where I only have to run if I feel like it, and I can take a lot more time off. Maybe go for a 7/7 deal or something like that. But that's neither here nor there. You may resume your regularly scheduled conversation.

I got a Uniden PC68 in my Mack and it works really good. When i do put one in my pickup am going to put in another Uniden PC68. It has always worked good fro me.

PRICELESS Yea, I think my 857, tuned just right, would melt that Magnum. But the FCC may be looking for me to pull my license. Just Joshin, don't go postal. Oh to answer your question Cobra 29 or Uniden 78 should work fine.

I can talk to someone 50 miles away, can you do that with a Coba 19? The $80 - 150.00 radios do just fine. Especially when the correct coax andd antenna are used, and properly tuned (SWR) for the installation. Later, gonna duck from the flying bullets. Horseman |
