well i still think something is a little shady you get paid by the load so why would your pay stub say anything about hrs??? It doesnt even give an hourly rate. IF you get paid by the load it should brake down what each load paid. How do you know what the load pays if thats all you get???

My pay stubs use to say 40hrs also but I was paid hub miles, stop pay, piece count and hourly at all docks. But we did get a seperate stub with the break down. His check might be processed through a second party payroll company.

GREAT question..... I have a payload sheet that lists each and every location I deliver to, and the total revenue for each load. So if its say a Toledo, OH to Traverse City, MI..... it's roughly a $900 load.... so I'd take $900 X 30% and get $270.

As for the hours, when I get to the yard I swipe in, and likewise.... when I return I swipe out. These times are compared to my log... thus giving me my total hours for the week. I guess its another safety net for the company because if my punch times dont correspond with my log..... hmm... obviously theres a problem SOMEWHERE...

It sucks this week cause I gotta take Friday off to get 2 wisdom teeth and a lower misc. tooth extracted. So I set up a double load tomorrow and had one today.

Today I took a Toledo, OH to Dearborn, MI and back, then got live loaded and went back up to St. Clair, MI for a live unload.... then brought her back home. Now tomorrow I got one leaving out at 4am from Toledo to Dayton and back, then a drop/hook from Toledo to Troy, MI and call it a day.

This would put me between $300-$350 and a little over $1,100 for 4 days.... and 38-40 hours... 8)
