I want to return OTR
Hi here's my situation. I have a total of 3 years otr experience, but I don't have any otr experience within the past 3 years. Appearantly I have to start all over again and apply as a student. I've tried this and haven't found a job yet. Does anyone have any suggestions or feedback? I want to go over the road, no Canada.

I suggest joining the U.S. Army. The living conditions at a forward operating base in Afghanistan are better than living in a truck that you are not allowed to idle for heat and cooling. The food is better than McD's, Wendy's, Subway and Chester Fried Chicken. The pay is a Whole lot better by a bunch. Getting shot at by al qaeda is safer than the back row at many truck stops around major metropolitan areas.
Go on now, be all you can be. It's not just a job it's an adventure. You can do more by 7 AM than most people do all day. The uniforms are great, chicks in New York are paying top dollar for that stuff. Have you guys seen the new GI Bill, freakin' awesome. Full tuition (at in state rates, but that's cool) AND the equivilant of a married E-5 housing allowance (about $1100/ month).

You will get very far in life with your negative attitude, if you hate trucking why do you even come on the board. For your information there are some good OTR companies and some pay well. I really wish guys like you would just leave this forum. Most of you are just a bunch of babies who know it all.

"most" truckers are just a bunch of fat, out of shape couch potatoes, and heart attacks waiting to happen. keep wishing, maybe the genie will grant you a wish! |
