If what you mean is that both tickets are more than 20mph over the posted limit then I would hope the answer is ZERO! I do know that your options are very limited, if there are any at all. I dont think you're ready to drive an 18 wheeler.

Having one ticket for 15 mph over the speed limit is a a career killer in the trucking world. I think you're screwed.

Default Twenty Over

I gotta ask. Didn't you talk to any company recruiters before you enrolled in training to know whether you'd be employable or not? Didn't anyone in the placement section of the school inform you of the hurdle you made for yourself? Sheesh!
Don't expect to be accepted by any company other than bottom feeders and don't talk initially to recruiters, talk to the safety people first to see it you stand a chance. BOL

The school Im in right now didnt talk to some of the people in my class. 1 got out of prison months (yes months) prior to his start date with school, alot of them have tickets in their recent past for 15 over. They all are having a hard time finding a decent job. Out of a class of 10 people there is only 2 students with clean records. And with the hiring freeze at alot of companies - I am having a uphill climb to find good - better companies to work for. I am one of the clean records. Nadda in alomost 15yrs, never had to wear a paid of chrome bracelets either.

So all I can say is good luck and start calling everyone you can think of.

If you have a clean record you won't have that hard of a time finding a driving job, even now.

sbaston, what do you think that a speeding ticket implies?

To an insurance company or to a safety department it implies that you could be a reckless driver. It could imply that speeding is only the tip of the iceberg of that person's driving bad / dangerous habits ie unsafe lane changes, tailgating, running lights, road rage.

Ya I know that and I understand but you think they would be a little easier on you knowing that it was in a personal not a truck and that the truckes are goved but i guess thats the way of the business!
