I wish the door was closed on the car so we could see the rest of the radius of the curb. It already looks like the right front is up on the curb.

Hopefully though your company will look past it. I would hate to see you lose your job in this economy over it, just take it as a lesson learned!

Are you leased on to someone or under your own authority?

As I sit looking all around,
Confusion and uncertainty is all I found.
The answers are there,
But I do not know where.
Optimistic and hopeful dreams,
Are all I have so it seems.
The future I do not know,
So all I can do is take it slow.
But I do know it will work out,
So I wait and watch without a doubt

You should put a letter in your file, then have you drive your truck back to the terminal that you want the truck at then give yourself five minutes to clean your truck out and get off your property. And dont forget to hit your DAC.

Also be careful with trailer swing if your tandems are pretty far forward, when I was in downtown CHI a few days ago, I had to stop in the middle of a turn because my trailer was about to swing into the left turning lane while I was turning right, honked my horn a couple times and waited a few seconds before proceeding, I couldn't actually see if there was a vehicle there or not, but I presume there probably was because it was a busy intersection. I didn't hit anything though so I assume they got the idea .
actually, if anything it is a 50/50....but i'm willing to bet it will still go down as a 'preventable'. I dont really care who would be at fault in any accident i might have, all i care about is if it was a preventable or not.

I know, someone will ask me "how do you think it was 'preventable'?" Pretty easy...the driver always needs to drive for 5....before i moved the truck to complete the turn, i would always check the side i was worried a car might sneak up besides (thus being the right side) before i started moving. Saved my butt one time, i was able to see the car just try to squeeze between my tandems and the curb...too bad i was already turned enough they couldnt complete their turn either till they backed up.

man....i'm gone for 2-3 weeks....and i'm still the talk of the board....how sweet...

Remember an accident can be someone elses fault, but still be preventable on your part. The lady is at fault, but it was preventable for both parties.

12 days is not 2-3 weeks. 1 thread title is not "the talk of the board", especially when the thread was started the last time you were here. Just sayin'.

2 weeks....my bad. felt like 3 weeks, but who was really counting besides you. actually two thread titles, seeing how the other was made just to poke fun at me......bait, flame or troll...whatever you call it, or actually DONT call it, seeing how what stays and what goes is based upon a personal opinion, and not the rules of the board.

whats sad is that you actually went back and counted the days since i last 'visited'. Still shows you care. ;-) sucka
