Default Laundry

Do most truck stops have laundry rooms? Also, how much clothes do you bring on a trip on average?

Yes, most truck stops have laundry facilities. Also some trucking companies have them at their terminals.

I take a weeks worth of clothes. I do take extra socks though. About 10-12 days worth.

About a week and extra socks and underwear. Also bring your own detergent it will save you money.

Yes! Bring your own detergent. I bough all small and mighty because it was small and worked well. Expect the washers and dryers to cost more at a truckstop then a regular laundromat. But everything is overpriced in the truckstops, so this shouldn't be a suprise.

I would never use one at a truck stop.

Watch this video http://vidmax.com/index.php/videos/view/521 and I think you'll see my point.

As far as bringing your own detergent, make it liquid type or get yourself a container with a secure lid for powder.

I usually keep about 2 weeks of clothing with me. I try to not use the truck stop laundry facilities, but have detergent with me should the need arise.
