LogBook Question
This is how I was showed i could run a LogBook it the LEGAL or ILLEGAL I would just like to know b4 I start logging like this b/c I hav'nt became a OTR driver yet .!

you are not leagal
you are not showing 24 hours log . what happen the last hour ?? is it on duty not driving or is it driving you must show 24 hours complete and you must write in every time your statues change for example when you change from off duty to driving you must write where this change took place what state and what city when you took a break or fueling same thing By the way if you take break 15 mints you must show it in your log book there is more to it but this is the basic

If you stop driving at 11 pm, then you are legal (as far as the 11/14 hour rule goes). At that point, you can either go off duty, sleeper berth, or on duty (not driving), but you cannot drive again until you have a 10 hour break.
I won't go into the fact that you didn't show a pre trip inspection, or a post trip inspection. :wink:

That's what i thought this is just a pic i dragged off of a site it showed 12 hours of driving & i know u can only run 11 so I erased the last hour on that log there i know that last hour i erased should have been taking up to the off-duty line but i didnt do it ... my bad just wanted to know if I could LOG like that or if i would get popped i know ya gotta should my routes when i stop and do my PRE-TRIP I'd show 30 mins no less kinda hard to do everything in 15 mins DOT would give me the eye and be like u did a PRE-TRIP in 15 mins & i know ya gotta show STOP'S & FUEL , INSP, i just didnt know if ya can log SLEEPING in OFF-DUTY also or if i had too show it in SLEEPER-BIRTH

That doesn't apply if you are splitting your sleeper berth, but that is a different discussion.
