Mackman,
If you EVER take a job were you are gone for more then one night, I will personally track you down and smack you, even if I have to go off route to do it. I do know where you live  .

Mack, I got to thinking about our 'sitting' deal, and the compensation package that you so quickly offered up. I think that I might be getting scammed here. See what I get for thinking with my more sensitive and impulsive head?

Let's see if I understand you correctly:

1. I will be expected to .....work 80-100, log 70, and get paid for 50?
What kind of crap is that? I can't believe that you tried to sneak that past me Mack! No way would a self-respecting 'sitter' agree to those terms. Nobody I know 8) would be foolish enough to labor for free! Isn't that type of thing illegal in most industries/occupations?

2. I will be pressured to......... stay off of lines 3 and 4 of my 'sitter' log and hide everything up on lines 1 and 2?
That sucks. How will I ever be able to reflect just how much work I am actually doing? Isn't that illegal? That is considered falsifying a federal document! EVERYBODY here knows better than that! Nice try Mackman! Clever though, I must admit. You sly devil, you. :P

3. May I propose a solution? Can I just opt out of our current agreement and sign up for the Mackman Lease/Purchase program? I'm told that there is no way that I can lose in that situation. Walk away if I want?

4. C'mon Mack! Give the brother a break here. Haven't you ever just jumped in to something without thinking it through or doing the research? I just don't want to end up finding out that the job is not for me after a week or so, and still owe you another 11-18 months of servitude.
Please!

5. That said. What time do you need me and Double R to be there? :P

Back on topic. I never got a call from the quarry. So i told my boss i was staying. His eyes lit up when i told him. In a way im glad im staying that night time stuff is for the birds. Plus my boss also put me on the D5 dozer all day the other day. So i think he is trying to get me seat time on the equipment to make a operator out of me.

Then you can start a new thread titled:

Sounds like you're already working at a good place.

Mack, you are a lifesaver my friend. How could I go wrong with an offer like that. Hell with Double R as an instructor, I just might be able to make it up to a full BBR one day. :P :P

Here's your new employee, aka Hoosier 1/4 cab BBR with log book ready!!

Another homeless millionaire.
8) Spotted on I-65 southbound from my 1/32 cab Toyota.

Belpre slides in to home, with yet another, feather soft, perfect 3 point landing. Ah, the life of the local driver!!!

Some day your going to realize that not everyone wants to be a local driver and not everyone is making less than you.

Some of us like the freedoms and dont have a wife saying I have to be home every night.

My kids are grown and I tossed the wife to the curb.

Let us enjoy our lives too, ok?

Shoot Stan! There's no way that could be Belpre's daughter! How could a mutt like Belpre possibly spawn a beauty like that? You don't think she might have a propensity towards arrogance and aloofness do ya? Do ya?  8)
