Medical question
I tried doing a search, but I didn't see anything. My question is. I have a friend of mine who wants to get his CDL, and team with me. About 16 months ago he was diagnosed with Crohns disease. It's all under control with meds, and he has no side effects of any kind.
Since his condition is under control, can he drive OTR?

that depends on the meds he is on and the company he is going to work for. first check the meds out see what the feds say then the company. there is alot of us old farts out there taking meds for this and that. I myself have two nine inch steel rods and a artifical knee in my left leg. many people said i could not drive but here i am driving everyday. good luck

Splitter I agree with rickII. Just cause his condition is assumed to be under control that he can now do OTR. Have it checked out by the DOT and doctor. I have diabetes, but because mine can and is controlled by oral medication I am able to drive truck. If I had to take insulin I'd be S.O.L. I was told this by both DOT and doctors. Best of Luck!! Drive safe everyone.
