Cool beans :lol: Gotta love free money from uncle sam! Who's that dude from Washington with the ????? all over his suit, who say's you can get free money from the government? Might be worth looking into his book. I just retired, and my pension is just a little over 30K a year. I will definately look into it next year when i'm ready. Thanks blind driver :wink:

DON'T put it on your credit card. I did that. That was stupid. I don't even want to think about what tuition cost me before that was all over. Looks like maybe $15,000 all told. Ouch. Don't remind me. I still have a hangover from that fiasco. I flirted with bankruptcy for years and years. I finally got all that :dung: paid off though.

If you don't want to sign a contract for training with a trucking company & you can't qualify for a gov't program - Contact TERI Loans (the educational resources institute) they are a not-for-profit corporation that provides education financing. They started my application over the phone. I went this route so I wouldn't have to sign a 12-18 month agreement for training, the payments are easy to handle. The down side - It's like putting it on your credit card, I'll be paying on this loan forever.
