As with most things in life, it is never as cut and dry as we like to think. Thus I would like to point out one possible backlash on the be honest and accept anything point of view which I do not deny has its merits.

Anyway, my last job there were some felons, including myself. I lied and kept my mouth shut so they didn't know about me. I'm glad for that too, because they kept throwing it those guys faces. They heaped abuse on them and if they complained they got the "you're a felon and we hired you".

Not saying this will happen everywhere, but the reality is if companies are hiring felons, there is something the matter that they can't hire decent drivers and thus there is a tendency to abuse.

And as for the death penalty for drug pushers, what's next, dealth penalty for liquor store owners, or the casino owners? What about the credit card company executives that hand out credit like water? Sure I guess the picture of some strung out junkie is worse than some guy up to his eyeballs in debt with a family to support who does something stupid to get out, but just because you don't see the obvious effects sometimes doesn't mean it's not as evil.

At least he is being up front and honest unlike some people compensating for something else by using another persons picture!
That is the dumbest thing I have read in this thread.
Rev... Keep in mind that Mr. Booth is not the brightest bulb in the chandelier.

Guito.......I realize your your speaking from the heart and your intentions are honorable..............we just have a difference of opinion on this subject, which is coooooooooool. So if you see anything that makes you uncomfortable, don't take it personal, it's not intended that way.

I think that is more of a short-coming of an individual, instead of a collective group of people...........like I stated, I would hire a "felon" who has made the honest decision to turn their lives around in a heartbeat..............I feel the would be more dependable employees.

Nice try, ain't gonna work................I have absolutely NO problem at all with someone who willingly distributes large quantities of Heroin spend the rest of their lives in prison and in some cases, put to death.......actually, I would consider it an honor to be able to pull the switch, if they were electricuted, wouldn't loose one minutes sleep over it....................if I'm not mistaken, liquor stores and Casinos are legitimate business's.
It takes a special breed of "SCUM BAG" to intentionally distribute and supply HEROIN to entire communities..............I'm NOT talking about a local strung-out street dealer selling small quantities in order to feed their habit here.

Once again, legit business....but I do agree on predatory lending practices, should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Thank you all for being honest.I respect your God given right to express yourselves.

I won't bother trying to educate anyone on the history of drugs ,the governments and corporations behind it, or lecture anyone on accepting responsibility for their own actions.

I did what i did and i have to deal with it..bottom line.
I'm sorry for anyone who has a drug problem or lost any family because of it,but no one forces anyone to do anything...we CHOOSE.
Cause and effect rules the universe..not drug dealing hypnotists.

I guess i got my answers so i don't see the point of continuing to be here.
I'll try to delete my posts, and delete my account here because I have a job and i make more money then i would driving anyway,i just wanted to do something different and get out of the office environment.

Thanks again everyone.Peace and don't forget to vote.

USA4Real..............being a drug addict over half my life, I have absolutely no problem with my views when it comes to Heroin distribution and certainly will not hold them back, just to make someone comfortable....that being said, I have gained nothing but respect and admiration for you personally......nothing I said was personally directed at you..you were just the catalysis that brought up some bad memories for me.

I wish you nothing but the best life has to offer, and let no one ever tell you, you haven't paid for your mistake in life, we all make mistakes at one time or another, so big, some not so big...........please remember, "Change your attitude, change your life."

Best of luck to you in all your endeavors and in your new career.........Josh

As far as voting...............Politics is my religion.   Good luck....

Ardemore, it is true that liquor stores, casinos etc are legal business, but that in and by itself does not legitimize the issue in my opinion. Liquor was at one time illegal, and even charging interest at one point was I believe a violation of the usury laws.

I do see your point how they are different issues from drugs, my point only was that a case could be made, well let me put it like this. Cancer is bad, the flu isn't generally so though it can be, but what really difference does it make which one kills you.

I know that is a crude simplification of the matter, but I guess you get my point. It should be stated that I personally am against the death penalty in all forms and all cases, which of course colors my views on the matter.

Take care.

So was I, that is, until it hits close to home..........personally myself, I don't see the "Death Penalty" as a deterrent..............it's punishment for a crime..............prime example, this POS scumbag "Danny Rollings" who was just executed here in Florida.................he brutally murdered 5-coed's at the University of Florida (including a young girl my daughters knew quite well from here in Jacksonville) in 1990 (?) and an entire family in Shreveport, LA.......yet was able to keep breathing air an additional 17-years after being convicted by a jury of his peers and all appeals.

To be quite honest about it...............I would have paid "big time" to have the privilege of being the one to execute the POS..........wouldn't loose one minute of sleep over it................same applies to "Ted Bundy" and the likes.

Yea, it's easy to be "anti-death penalty", when it doesn't affect you personally.....have some useless POS brutally RAPE and MURDER your 5-YO daughter, murder your wife or someone close to you or a family member, then tell me how anti-death penalty one is..

I can think of one career you can drive in and not worry about your past, thats being a criminal, its a great job , has benefits, your background being in jail is really the expeirence for this job. just steal semi trucks and you can drive, who cares what a DAC report says just drive..., the longer you drive and not get cuaght means your DAC report stays clean... soo when you do get out of jail you got all that driving expeirence to do it again better next time...
