That doesn't seem to make much sense to me...what would you do in cold weather?
My truck does the same, it shuts off after 5 minutes though. BUT, if you engage the high idle, it'll run indefinitely.

They allow different idle percentages depending on what time of year it is. During the winter they allow less because they have cab heaters. The percentage goes up during warmer times, but it's nowhere near enough. I always idled when it was hot.

You have no experience and then having to go on your own? Wow....I mean I'm only driving for 2 and a half years and I'm still considered a rookie.. Still learning too. BOL to ya! Just keep that safety thing in mind at all times and don't make em force you to run illegal; it ain't worth it!

I have been strongly considering Schneider, those odds make me nervous. I studied at least 2 hours each night, for trip planning and hazmat I studied at least 7-8 hours total. I even attended a after hours class given by the instructors for trip planning. My study habits paid off I scored 100% on hazmat and 97% on trip planning. we lost 3 students on these two tests. Some of the guys got back to the room and turned on the TV and did not open their books, my TV never went on the whole time I was there. I figured i was there for one thing only and that was to pass the course. Study groups are importatnt, none of my class wanted to participate. So I studied on my own. So don't be nervous about the school, if you treat like a course you have to prepare for and spend the time studying you will do fine. It is not easy, but it is not something that you can't do if you apply yourself. Mark |
