New FMCSA rules for physicals
I can't get a clear answer to this by googling it.
If I get a DOT physical from one place, but fail, can I retake a physical somewhere else? Thanks

There are not many carriers going to let you doctor shop, most have doctors and with the new regs coming out making sure the doctors CAN actually do DOT physicals.. it's a done deal. If you are in danger of failing a DOT physical, you need to fix that problem before it along with trucking KILLS YOU along with whomever happens to have the bad luck of being near you when you do..

Yes, Last entry is the one that matters. When I was overweight and had high bp I had one place give me a 3 month and then went to another place and got a 2yr. The 2yr is the one on file with the DMV and I've had no issues. I've taken care of the weight and BP so I don't worry about that stuff anymore but in a pinch it does work going somewhere else.

Thanks for the replies! I ended up going to a second place, after I failed at the first place for high BP. I would have gone back to the first place, but they wanted me to go through all sorts of hoops with my primary care doctor, so instead I chose the option of going to a second place. After taking sodium bicarbonate out of my diet (I was taking it for stomach acid) my BP came way down. Went to the second place, paid cash up front, passed the BP test with flying colors, got my new med card. OH Yayuss !!
