I think I will go and take my tanker endorsement test on Monday. It is a good option that may be useful down the road. I will have to pickup hazmat later on down the road, but one at a time!

The questions are super easy too, it isn't hard. A lot of the endorsements only have a few questions too. I think doubles/triples is like 7-10 questions?

I didn't really study them before I took them. I did fail the hazmat endorsement test the first time because I missed some of the category numbers. Second time passed it no problem.

Yeah Doubles/Triples was pretty easy. I have pulled rocky mountain doubles in school and those where easier to get around than the 53... But, I prefer running 53's

food grade tankers dont require hazmat, there are hundereds of products you can haul without one, but I would still recommend getting one

I still intend on getting my Hazmat, but I am going to wait until the money is there for me to get it. I just don't want to haul anything that utilizes smooth bore. At least if it is a baffled trailer, you have the sloshing, but it is more contained.

you are going to have a real hard time finding a baffled trailer that isnt hazmat, baffles are usually only on chemical tankers. food grade are not permitted to have baffles.

If you are going to learn something, you should learn every aspect of it.
I'm curious as to why you are afraid of pulling a tank without baffles? Its kind of like the new drivers that only want to drive auto shift trucks. Don't be afraid of things you have never even done yet! In my opinion if you are afraid of some things in the trucking business, you should probably stay away. This is not an attack on you, but why let this scare you when many have learned and do it every day in different types of situations. If you want to haul tanks, learn it all, and be confident.
