Many companies won't allow inverters because they can be hard on the batteries.

I used the microwave in the truck stops. Gotta go in to pee anyway

Are additional battery connections common? I know nothing about tractors, but it seems that's an extra most companies wouldn't pay for.
On tractors with the "tool box" style battery box that hangs on the rails it is fairly common for them to have a positive stud on the box itself. It is there to make jump starting a little easier so you do not have to take the cover off the box.

Or just blow the fuse for the cig lighter repeatedly?

You could just replace the fuse with a 10 gauge wire...That should solve the problem..

I've ran nothing but reefer. Every truck I have had has a positive and negitive stud behind the sleeper to junp the reefer off if the batt. or alt. goes out. DO NOT REPLACE YOUR FUSES WITH BIGGER FUSES OR 10 GUAGE WIRE You WILL burn your truck down!!!!!!

I have a lunch box oven bought it for $16 a long time ago still works well it plugs into cig lighter, good for soup, ravioli, chicken & dumplins or other can foods, but takes 30+ min to heat, use foil mini loaf pans so no clean up heat and eat out same pan and toss, can also heat water for instant coffee  in a pinch, or heat hot dogs. bol to ya

While they require only about 50-100 watts to run, the compressor startup draws a lot more power than a 400 watt inverter can handle.

Lets see now.....
you will burn the tractor to the ground
Thats like putting a penny in an old style 110V fuse box.....and lots of houses burnt down because of it....

If I absolutely couldn't hook up an inverter directly to the batteries, then I would measure the distance from where the inverter will be used to the positive stud on the battery box (Internationals) or under the hood (KW's)
then double the distance, consult with an expert as to the proper gage of cable to be used and hook it up when needed, and disconnect when done.

NEVER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES USE A LARGE INVERTER WITHOUT HAVING THE TRUCK RUNNING AT A HIGH IDLE.....YOU WILL EAT THE BATTERIES QUICKLY AND HAVE TO GET A JUMP START!!
