Default question

Have any of y'all got into trucking because things are "not so good at home"?
Always wanted to get into trucking but my marriage is on a downward spiral if I ever get divorced think I'll quit my job and get into driving, something I dreamed about all my life anyway.
Been a loner most of my life and love to drive, used to drive all over the country chasing construction jobs, hell the trip to the job was always my favorite part.

Do the job only if you want to.
Fix the other issues first.

I went trucking after my plant closed up.
Made more money in the factory.

In my opinion if diviorce is already in your thoughts or you think it is headed that way,get it done soon,I wasted 3 years of my life waiting for the inevitable to happen,I too like to be alone and can't think of a better job to have,I can go days without speaking to anyone I don't want to and I love it.Moneywise that depends alot on where you work at,some companies pay well, others not so much.

Do you enjoy your driving career and who do you drive for?

I started driving at 23 and was single. When I meet my wife, she knew what I did for a living and has had no problems with it, but then again I am home everynight

Don't jump in there just to get away from issues...doesn't make them any better.......if you're really set on driving and it's something you really want to do, settle the issues on the home front first whether it's finalizing that divorce or whatever is in store for you before you take on something that's a big change in your life.......

Sounds like driving is something you enjoy doing, and you've done before just maybe not in a semi but still have drove to get things where they needed gotten to......just not a good deal getting into it before you've gotten things squared away with the issues you have at home
