You have to read between the lines on these ads from truck companies.

top solo $82,295 This is the highest ANY solo driver has made. He probably has worked there forever and never goes home.

You would have to run 3957 miles @ .40 cpm EVERY WEEK to make that kind of money.

Yes, you can do better but it will be hard and take some luck. I got lucky. Right out of school I got hooked-up with an O/O and a dedicated team run that paid $1020.00/week. Out 4 days and home 3. That's 53k/yr. Not too bad for a rookie.
A couple of companies I can think of, that you will get close to $50k as a new driver, would be TMC and Maverick. Those are the two off the top of my head.

If I were a OT fiend and signed up for all the weekend work I could I would have come close to breaking $50k last year.
