Rick, are you going reff or dry van? Are they giving you an option? I don't see anything about lumpers on their website, have you talked to them about that? How offten will you have to lump do they pay for lumpers? Have you talked to any of the drivers? Would they let you take the trucks home if you didn't live so close to them.

I guess I assumed you had worked in Washington DOC.

I don't have most of the details you are asking about. They say they are 98% no touch. I'm not sure about lumping pay. I do know I will have to leave my truck at the terminal. I don't know how they deal with drivers who don't live near one of their terminals. I would assume you would take it home. But, you know what happens when you assume! I know they don't pay layover or detention. I'll pull dry vans. I have not talked with them about refers. I want to learn what I need to know about OTR before I think about refer. I haven't spoken with any of their drivers.

I asked the staff at the school I'm attending why Interstate wasn't sending a recruiter over to talk with the class (we've had 2 recruiters every day this week). I was told Interstate only takes the cream of the crop. The school sends the names of their top students for Interstate to consider. I got pre-hired before I started school by contacting them directly.

Interstate says their turnover rate is about 46% which is much lower than the industry standard. Since I haven't talked with any of their drivers, I don't know how accurate that is.

I have talked to a lot of drivers at this forum. Interstate has a good reputation. I'm kind of trusting my gut.

I got a hold of Rob's lady friend, and she said she would call back tomorrow with his number. I know what questions I want to ask him, do you have any you want to toss this way?

Not really. I would, however, be interested in what you hear from him. I would probably want to know the same stuff as you.

Maybe you can PM me after you talk with him.

Thanks,
Rick
