Which Truck?????
OK for some of you this isn't a question at all. I have the choice between a 07' KW w9 and a 07' 379 pete The KW has a studio sleeper but rides quite bad. The pete has a double bunk sleeper very small compared. I like everything about the KW's sleeper. Is there anything I can do to it so it will ride better? The drivers seat sucks too. also takes a 10 arce field to turn it(very long wheel base). On the other hand the Pete is great on ride and turning. I just hate to give up that great sleeper and find out it was an easy fix. I'm just torn between the 2. Right now I'm leaning toward the pete. I thought about sliding the 5th wheel up on the KW because its out as far as it can go. But I've been looking and thats where everybody has theirs. Please don't have a come back thats rude because you drive a POS. I'm not bragging. I have a real question here. Thanks

Are you in a position that getting around with a longer truck is going to be a problem? Do you think the bad ride is in the front or back? Does it ride bad loaded and empty? I would prefer the Pete but, that is just my opinion.

Well The KW is only a few inches longer than the pete. The pete has a long wheel base but it rides like a caddy. I've gotten the KW into every hole I've tried but it takes me a few times. In the Pete I looked like a pro first time most everytime. Not sure where the bad ride is comming from. It rides bad loaded and empty.

I went from a KW-9 studio to the 379 and what I found out was I really didn't need all that crap anyways,I prefer the 379 ride over the W9 but my 9 was also pretty wore out at the end 1.3 million miles.

Well this one has 171,000 miles and it rides bad. also has a 500hp engine. My pete has a 475 i think. Both Cummings. might not be but 25hp but I can tell a difference pulling hills.

Have you checked your shocks? The W9 is heavier than the Pete and should ride better. Is it the seats or the truck itself? If it is the seats, then it can be fixed by changing the seats. I have a KW and they are the most uncomfortable seats. If I keep it, I will probably want to buy new seats. The truck rides fine, but the seats are just not comfortable. From a freight standpoint, you can probably haul heavier loads with the Pete. I do love those studio sleepers, though. 8)

I'll say the KW is the better riding truck in my experience. I like the 379 looks a little better though. I am a small guy and I still can appreciate the room a KW offers. I would chose the W9 if you can remedy the problem.
