Default Ways to cut your idle...?

I've had those 'breezeway' inserts for the front windows for a few months. The past couple months, i was at 12% idle for the months of April and May. And had a few weeks before that where my idle was 2-6%. As long as i can catch a breeze with my sleeper vents, and as long as the temp isnt 85* or higher with high humidity, i can get a good nights sleep. However, the past week, i've been running in the Atlanta area, then was sent over to Alabama. I just got a message over my QC saying i was one of the highest idlers for the past week. Now i've got a Coleman 10" battery powered fan, and a 6" clip on plug in desk fan, which helps, but if its 90* outside, all that does is circulate 90* air. Cant really get a good nights rest when you're hot and have a little sweat going. Not to mention it is unsafe to have a tired driver on the road, yeah?

So what can a driver do to help lower their idle? (aside from taking a sleeping bag inside and unrolling it in the middle of the game room floor)

the fans companies provide aren't worth a crap. i saved myself the hassle from swift by hooking myself up to idle air wherever it was. i only parked in the spots that wouldn't be trouble backing out of. if i couldn't find a good spot, i'd find myself a regular spot and idle the truck as long and much as i needed.

One problem with IdleAire if you are not a smoker is the stench. I pulled up beside one once and the stench from smoking was awful. Apparently, they recycle their air. In any case, I don't want to smell weeks old smoke. My wife is very allergic to cigarette smoke. She could not do well with IdleAire if the smoke is present. There should be something they could do about the smell for those with allergies. They charge a lot of money for their service. When you pay top dollar you expect above service and products.

true, true...i've had that happen only a couple of times. i ended up backing out of the spot i was in and moving to another one. i'm also the type who cannot sleep worth a crap while the truck is running. it needs to be silent (for the most part) and without any shaking all over the place. i also don't want to be sweating myself into nothingness, so i have to choose the lesser of two evils. i go with the expensive route because it saves me from being unemployed.

Turning the engine off lowers my idle really well.
I'm surprised they didn't teach you that at BBR school.
