Default western 11 regional or Pep Boys dedicated?

Hi All, I recently went to work for Werner and was given a choice of either running western 11 or pepboys dedicated. The western 11 of course includes a lot of hills and winter driving. The co. says I could run 6 days and have 1 day at home every week, because of where I live. The pepboys run would be Sun-Fri, home on the weekends. I would either run Ca, Az, Nm, Nv or N.Ca, Or, Wa. It wouldn't be as as many miles or winter driving , but more stops and city driving. It would also be all driver unload, which the co. pays for. Has anyone here run these types of runs before? Being new to trucking I've never done either and can't decide between them. Any advice or opinions would be much appreciated. I'll be going out with my second trainer today, so I probably won't be able to respond to questions, but my Dad will check my email and keep me up to date on responses. Thanks, Greg

I'd take hills and snow anyday over city driving and unloading at Pep Boys. Do they even have real docks ?

It's your chice man.

Did ya see about their dedicated Wally Mart or Target accounts?

niagrafallss1, I don't know about the dock situation at Pepboys. I wasn't offered Walmart or Target so they're probably not available right now.

Pepboys Dedicated!

I believe Werner's western 11 involves .15 cpm for deadhead miles.

Well I would do 11 western but not with werner and .15 dead head is a shame most companies like interstate or Gordon or Beetle boys out fit pay loaded or MT.

The only time I've ran for a company that didn't pay DH was when it was a percentage load. USXpress pays for ALL dispatched miles, loaded or empty.

Ask if they have anything else. If you don't, they will only offer what they want you to be on. I just left Werner and was on Anheuser-Busch dedicated in Columbus, Ohio. Home every night. Werner has alot of dedicated freight so do some homework and go for what you want. I'm sure they need drivers everywhere. We had new drivers constantly on A-B
