This lady contacts me and tells me that she has 1 truck thats open and basicly they are a small fleet , I guess under Dart and that they would pay me 35/36 a mile for national . is this a good idea? She says they are working on there own authority.

probably because they are contracting her and need your info as well. I don't know the ins and outs of that stuff but it is quite common to do.

Can't really tell. It kinda sounds like she is more of a recruiter than an actual owner. You might get GMAN to give an opinion on this. And while your are at it, throw some pickles at him.

I would be concerned that any driving experience you get there won't be transferrable to another carrier.

Because I doubt that this lady reports to DAC. Who knows if Dart would, as you are not an employee of theirs. If Dart pays you, then Dart is your employer. Somehow, I doubt that scenario, as it would leave them wide open to a lawsuit by anyone who wanted to claim their O/O's were employees.

There is a world outside DAC you know

We don't even have DAC here in canada, and we can still get jobs.

Bikerboy, why do you have to go and shatter my already fragile illusion of reality?
