Whats up with the I-5 section tunnel fire?
Getting ready to head down to La-La land and was wondering what was up with the tunnel that had the fire in it a few weeks back? Is it repaired? If not how do you get around it? Thanks

I'm talking out of my lack of knowledge here, but my understanding is that this was in one of the truck route sections of I 5- so there is an entire section of "cars only" I 5 lanes. If the road in the "tunnel" (which really isn't a tunnel, just where the truck route lanes cross under another section of freeway), they can divert trucks onto the "cars only" section.
I haven't been out there since this happened, though.

Yea, I was thinking the same thing. But you know Kalifornia they would probably route the trucks thru Bakersfield or some dumb sh*t like that.
