No, the DOJ approved the merger. The FCC has yet to approve.

I have both. I like the music choices a little better on Sirius, I think the talk radio is much better on XM. I dont care about nascar, and I think football is boring to listen to on the radio. When Im feeling stupid and want to hear immature fart jokes, I prefer opie and anthony to howard. I never have any problems with either of the equiptment sirius or xm. But I find that my XM broadcasts a little farther out from my home base. I have a huge yard and can pick up XM on a little portable walkman all over my property. The sirius from my home base unit will only broadcast out about half as far.
If I had to choose between one, I would probably go with XM, I find myself listening to it a little more.
But thank God, it looks like the merger will finally go through. So you might not have to make a choice

the way Mel explained it, you will still have to make a choice, you can have one or the other, or both or pick some channels from each, if you are happy with what you have now, you can keep it ..the only difference for you if you have both and want to keep them both is your cost will actually go down.

as far as Howard or O and A, you hear the same stuff, you just have to wait a little longer for O and A to copy it.
I miss Ron and Ron, it used to be Ron and Ron and Fez was a sidekick, then when Ron moved and Ron didnt want to and stayed behind leaving only Ron, Ron decided to team up with Fez.
Ron is still on Port Richey doing sports radio. the old Ron and Ron shows were great..

Well it's in the works they will both merge this year so price will be different from what I hear and they are trying to move forward to do so. So I guess you will have the hole bowl of wax to listen to.
