I seriously wouldn't do that. You may be low on refrigerant, and you could fry your compressor.
CHECK THE COMPUTER! It will tell you what's wrong.

i did check the computer it says low system voltage.the volvo dealer said it was a short some where.this fix will get me home and the local mechanic can fix it[lot cheaper there]
