Thanks Everyone for the advice, that is what is so great about this site, they can fool some of the people some of the time, but not all of the people all of the time. Any more advice I would greatly appreciate it. Hey GMAN, when you say poor mileage with the 4.33 rear ratio, what range could I expect with this set up? Thanks GMAN. I would not expect more than about 5 mpg. That ratio is more for pulling power than fuel economy. You can have a mechanic connect to the cpu and it will tell you what the fuel mileage has been on the truck.

Freightliner Classic with all the goodies. 370k on the miles with ability to purchase 2 years on the motor for $1600. I consider it a good deal. The truck is in above average shape. It has been very well taken care of. I am selling my truck in picture if anybody interested. 1998 freightliner classic
with Baby C-10 cat, no jake, 488k on miles, single exhaust,9 spd. Not enough power for you Papa rick. Price is $12,900. Truck good for van freight. No problems. Send me a PM at my email address. I might be interested in buying your truck. I can't PM you here because I have less than 50 posts. Thanks Jack

Papa, there is a web site called black book. It as used truck and trailer prices on it, you have to subscribe to it for a about 15 a month. I used it till I bought my truck then canceled. I have a 2002 t800 with c12 430hp 4.10 rears 10 speed. And 22.5 tires. At 65 it is running 1650 rpm’s at 70 it’s about 1800. I get about 6.5mpg empty. Loaded it’s about 4.3 to 5.8 mpg’s. I haul sod so I don’t get much highway miles. I have some hill and do a lot of stop and go traffic. If I had it to over and had the money I would have gotten a c15 and a least 13 speed. I am under powered for sure. And have a big gap in 9th and 10th a splitter would be nice. I paid 38,500 for my 2002 about 7 months ago. With 425000 miles. no warranty, small sleeper 215 wheelbase. I do know that when I was looking on the back book web site day cabs were always selling at a higher price than one with a sleeper. My truck has dual 110 gallon tanks. Weighs in about 16500#.

Thanks, I'm real happy with it. It's an 03 with 370k, C-15, 500HP , 13spd,
warranty on motor. Paid a little over $40k. Drives like a new truck. One owner truck, bought it private, not from the dealer. |
