Ok here's the card to get:
https://www.providiancard.com/bap/wm...offer_id=wmm09

It's a WAMU card and of course as usual they denied each me and the wife. They have never issued me a card. I keep a lot of high debt but never have this kind of trouble with any other bank. But am posting it for others. Up to 10% back for the first 6 months.

Apparently you need to watch the rebates. Here's a link to a thread about the card

$6500? We spend twice that on fuel every month. I might have to look into this card. Is there a 75 gallon limit on that card too?

As far as I know Rank no there isn't a limit but this is supposed to be a personal card, but they don't know they difference. The one thing is to spend the intial $6500 on something other than fuel if you have to pay more to use the card.

What I mean is I fuel at the Flying J mostly which charges $.6 more for the use of credit. So on that first $6500 I don't want to pay $.6 more only to get 1% back. So the best thing is to pay something else.

I think I am going to go back to this card so I am waiting to pay certain things until January 1st and besides that my wifes tuition for next semester is going to be about $5,000 so I'll just pay that all at once reach the $6500 and then start fueling.

Oh crap. You mean the FIRST $6500 doesn't earn cash back? LOL.

Well it does but I believe it's 1% for the everyday purchases like gas, drugstore, supermarket and .5% for all the rest. It use to be easy to do as there were so many 5% for gas cards out there so you would just use the Amex Blue for regular items until you hit the $6500. These cards don't come easy anymore.

It's worth the search, in the last 5 months I have earned about $1300 cash back between just two cards. (of course I bought the trailer on credit so that was about $400 alone).

Anyway I called Amex today and she told me there is no limit to the gallons. Mind you she told me at first it was limited to $75 not 75 gallons but I made her go check and she came back and said she made a mistake and that there is not limit whatsoever.

But don't take my word for it, sometimes you got to call 3 times until someone gives you the right info. I verify everything with these people.

It's not always a turn down. Sometimes it's something simple like verifying address, phone etc.

Not all banks use the same credit bureau either. Your info can vary from each bureau. Lot's of times someone can have a $20k Visa and get turned down by JC Penney.
