Another crazy idea.
Ok, here goes another one
Fairly often, I see the trucks that haul large beams. I just don't know what to call the set-up that they use. The part that attaches to the truck is seperated from the tandems that would normally be trailer tandems. The air and electrical lines can be stretched out or coiled up depending on the length they are stretched out to. When empty, they often piggy-back the tandems onto the tractor much like a toter-truck does a pilot car. The whole set-up reminds me of some of the log trailers you see also. I'm just wandering who builds these set-ups or if most of them are shop built? Does anyone here know of a shop that does this kind of work? I happen to have a set of air ride tandems that I could use to build such a contraption. Thanks, Arky |
