Default anyone have a winegard carry out?

it seems like a cheep alteritive. my truck has a built in antenna but by the time i buy the tv, dig. converter box etc its not much more.

anyone have any experence with these? whati'm worried about is someone walking off with it.

I've never heard of a winegard carry out, but if you're buying a new tv, wouldn't it be digital? I wouldn't think a new tv would need a converter, unless its a monitor only.

I think he's talking about a portable satellite dish that they sell for camping etc.

from my understanding anytime you hook a tv up to an antena now you need the digital converter box.

really? i thought vuqube was the tops? they're starting to cater the MP1 model to the truckers. just want to see if anyone else is using it yet.

Oops, my bad. I didn't know they had a new carryout model. I was referring to this one:

Amazon.com: Winegard GM-1518 Carryout White Automatic Portable Satellite TV Antenna: Automotive

Check the reviews - pretty impressive for a device that's bound to try people's patience at least once in a while. I don't think the vuqube is very popular. I remember one review I read talked about it taking a long time to change channels.

My info is probably 2 years old so take it with a grain of salt.

The newer tv's and antenna's are all digital; no need for a third piece of hardware. If you're using an older tv then you need a converter.
