While I respect everyone's gonads for taking a stand on everything from animal rights to gay weddings,.....I fail to see what driving slow (slower than 55mph) will do to help this,...if dollar a mile freight still gets loaded onto trucks.

Fuel may be higher, but look how cheap computers, Plasma tv's etc are compared to when fuel was cheap. You can also buy houses for 40-50-% less than when fuel was cheap.
