The one I liked best, of all the ones I had, a Radio Shack "CB-PHONE". I had it in the truck for a few years, then the 40 channel units came out. When someone went to channel 27, I couldn't follow, so I replaced it. After that, it looked like I had a mobile phone in the car.... Until someone broke the window and stole it. You don't see them anywhere, anymore. I've looked in flea markets too. Haven't seen one.

No, I have not looked on ebay, but there might actually be one there.

Default Radio shack cb's

Best CB I ever had was a Radio Shack with a power mike. That sucker could make the trip. Some a-hole stole it. If Radio Shack still sells CB'S they are most likely made china. Don't buy anything made in China. It's all crap!

Those old Johnsons could flat make the trip. If you knew someone who knew what they were doing, they could strap them down internally. You could rattle windows on the other side of the country.

I have an early 70's realistic that was my dads. It still works except the channel display is burned out. I now run a uniden 78 thats just "peaked and tuned" and it doesn't have the same power as the old realistic.

I run an old Monkey Wards Cobra 25GTL...... bought it brand new in 1985 and had a connex board installed. Thats it, works good, I can talk/recieve about 10miles max which is plenty for me.
