Blind loads??
Back when I drove for a regional outfit around here I had what was called a blind load. Now at the time I had no idea what was going on but now I realize that the person who called me on my cell phone was a broker and she told me it was a blind load to cleveland but I took it to Hometown, PA. Can some explain why you would do this?

the company in Cleveland sells building products
the Hometown company orders a full trailer load red paint the mfg of red paint is in Indiana The Cleveland company orders the paint to go to their own whse. Then they p/u Indiana with their own truck If the mfg knew someone in Hometown was ordering full trailer loads they would skip the Cleveland dist co. and sell/ship direct eliminating the middleman. If the reciever in Hometown knew he could get it direct from the mfg in Indiana, he would also buy direct to eliminate the middleman. The blind shipments protect the middlemans accounts.

gotcha, thanks Sonny.
By the way I'll be in NJ tommorow and then off and on for a little while. I'm building a Maggie Moo's ice cream store in Debtford,NJ. Don't worry though I'll close the door on my way out. 8) |
