Ok.
I bought a 1995 Volvo single axle daycab. I bought it because it was cheap. Engine runs fine, tranny is smooth, shifts nicely. Brakes are good, tires are fine. It's ready to work. Is there work for a rig this old, or should I put a bed on the rear, and consider it a over sized pick-up? (it does look better than my dodge dakota)

Went online, and applied for my USDOT numbers and authority. Got the DOT numbers, but have to wait for some extra cash to get my MC numbers. Cost $300, and don't have it in the bank to pay for it. Will have them by Friday.
Funny on how getting your own authority is that cheap....considering how much they are charging for insurance and plates. Still got some forms to fill out...BOC3, IFTA, ??? and some other forms I'm sure I don't know about. TX DOT also... But I did figure out what the truck is good for.......

Better go get an insurance quote first. To go active authority, you'll need bound insurance. And to get insurance you need active authority. Ain't our govt great...
If you are having issues with the $300. Wait till you get an insurance quote.

Put a bed on it. Include "postholes" for wooded sides. Look for lumber loads, but (with the sdeboards) you might haul agriculture.
Is THIS your first truck and "authority?" Really? You're gonna have to work REAL hard! Do you live near "produce sheds?" They can keep you busy. No idea if they pay REAL money.
